Read-a-Thon Mini-Challenge Entry

Casey at The Bookish Type is hosting a mini-challenge for read-a-thon participants where the task is to write a fake synopsis of one of the books you plan to read during the event. Here’s my entry:

Lillia knows nothing about her father except for what she can gather from the collection of books and the pair of hideous black glasses he left behind the day he vanished – the day she was born. She has heard rumors about him, about some social movement he created twenty years ago, before her existence. But no one knows where he’s gone, not even her mother. Or, at least, no one is telling. Lillia wants nothing more than to find him, and to know once and for all what is really true. Was he really a wizard? Why did he vanish? What was this movement he tried to create? And, more importantly, what does it all mean for her?

She knows the answer must lie in the library her father left behind, but she has no idea how dangerous those books are – or the room itself. Soon she is asking herself, did her father even leave at all?
